Visiting this website.

Cloudflare hosts this website. Your browser sends connection information, including your IP address and the page requested, so Cloudflare can serve and protect the site. Cloudflare may also receive network error reports to help diagnose connection problems. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details of how it handles this information.

Sending an enquiry.

The Contact form asks for your name, email address and message, with an optional service selection. Choosing “Send enquiry” sends those details to a Cloudflare Worker. After validation and spam checks, Cloudflare's email service sends the enquiry to hello@controltrail.uk, which receives mail through Microsoft 365. We use the email address you provide to reply.

The website does not store your name, email address or message in its database or logs. To prevent repeated delivery attempts, it keeps a random submission reference, a digital fingerprint of the submission, its status and the time it was submitted. These records become eligible for deletion after seven days and are removed in batches as the form is used.

Cloudflare and Microsoft 365 process the enquiry to deliver and handle the email and may retain information under their service settings and policies. The enquiry is kept as email correspondence.

Security checks.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish visitors from automated spam. Turnstile processes information about your browser and device. The Worker also limits repeated submission attempts using a value derived from your IP address. These checks happen before an enquiry is emailed.

Email enquiries.

You can also email hello@controltrail.uk directly. The email includes your sending address and any information you choose to include. Include only what is needed to explain your enquiry. Leave out passwords, access tokens and sensitive records.

Cookies and tracking.

Our site code adds no analytics scripts or advertising tracking pixels and does not save form entries in cookies, local storage or session storage. Fonts and visual assets are served from this website. Cloudflare provides the Turnstile script and may add other security checks or security cookies. Your browser, email app and device may retain information according to their own settings.

Which rights apply depends on the circumstances. If you have concerns about how your information is handled, you can raise them with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
